Michele Caniato is a recipient of the Fulbright Scholar Award, the Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Grant, Marion and Jasper Whiting Foundation Grant, and five commissions from Center for Italian Culture/Amelia Gallucci-Cirio Endowment at Fitchburg State University. He has been a Resident Fellow in composition at Escape to Create in Seaside, FL , and at the Weston, MA public schools.
